The Rockford Files s1e1 (4/5)

The 1974 original.

I enjoyed the horrible stock photo of his trailer.

The credits take far too long.

What is with the jingles?

Too much close up walking.

Mr. Red Pants is a freak.

Captain Dell is missing and office.

He’s angry with his dad because he had to carry his golf clubs and take out the garbage… Whaaaa. Is this what passed for abuse in the 70’s?

I like Rockford’s jacket… and his sneaks.

What is with the enormous amount of time spend leafing through files that are clearly filled with blank colored paper?

What the hell? Why do we need to close the scene with a closeup of a drawer (DE) closing?

I’d say that “my father is Mr.” is old, but this show it old.

Horrible golf stance.

An elongated montage of Vegas.

Duplicate bikini manikin shot.

Come on! How did he find him?

Phone booth eraser scene is a funny throw-away.

When you are following someone don’t you ever have trouble finding a parking space?

Similar jackets.

Come on! Who is that meticulous about their nails in a public restroom!?

Nice insult and even nicer fight – LOL!

Gross dry floor soap.

I’m starting to like the investigation music. It’s got a nice beat.

Dance contest on carpet?

Again! That is the same “waiting at the bar” shot!

Knock-out drops!?

Rockford is not treating his client with much respect… “Put on something skanky ’cause I think you can handle being a skank.”

When waiting to follow someone they never park in the correct direction.

Ex-con’s don’t casually tell people that.

A sentimentalist or a bit too forward.

I guess that takes care of “expenses”.

“My gat”!

A scene retroactively brought to you by Google Maps.

At least they’re wearing seat belts, which was a rarity in the 70s.

Automatic weapons! Wow!

Action oil!

Rockford is a pleasant sleaze.
